Helpful Information
Your friends and family can be saved much anxiety, pain, and frustration at the time of your death if you have taken the time to think through your final wishes and to suggest how you would like your funeral conducted and whom you would like to participate in your service.
These are not easy things to think about, because they force you to face your own mortality, but your loved ones will appreciate any information you provide. Thus, what you will be doing as you think through these arrangements will be providing a final gift of love.
Because your death will be difficult for your loved ones to face whenever it occurs, it will relieve much unnecessary stress if you keep this information in one spot where it can be easily accessible for your family.
The accompanied detailed questionnaire will give your loves ones all the important information they will need to know immediately at the time of your death.
After your service, it will also be important for your administrator or trustee to take the necessary steps to legally pass along your assets to your beneficiaries in accordance to your wishes. Therefore it is important that you keep the following documents and other necessary information together in one place:
1. Living Trust and/or Will 2. Durable Powers of Attorney for Healthcare and Financial Matters 3. Copy of all deeds to real property 4. Copy of recent property tax bill for each real property 5.
